Synopsis:
Halina Birenbaum, Holocaust survivor and author, is joined for the first time by her son, Yakov Gilad, a famous Israeli songwriter, on her annual journey to Poland. While following her overwhelming survival path during a book-signing tour, Yakov discovers the politics of remembrance and questions Jewish-Polish relations and Israel’s treatment of survivors.
