DocuNation started in March 2020, when the world shut down and we all needed some hope and connection. Yonatan and Almog had already been working together for years, so they decided to share meaningful Israeli stories and conversations - from home, to homes everywhere.

We’ve kept going ever since, showing films that open hearts, spark compassion, and let us see Israeli society in all its shades. Along the way, we’ve also discovered how stories can help people grow from pain and heal from trauma - what we call docutherapy.

We believe stories can heal.

DocuNation is here to bring people together, to shine a light on humanity and compassion, and to show how stories can help us grow, even from hard places.

Through films and conversations, we explore how cinema can open hearts, connect people, and even help us heal. You can hear more about it in Yonatan’s TEDx talk.
